Congratulations to the winners and finalists of the 16th International ARC Salon Competition! This year, the ARC received over 5,400 entries from 75 countries. 1,273 works (24%) were selected as Finalists. I'm very impressed with the works chosen and proud to have been selected as a Finalist alongside them. Special shoutout to all of the ÀNI artists who were recognized! Great job everyone!

This awe-inspiring international event will have artists from all over the world present, showcasing the true international nature and collaborative spirit in this area of Contemporary Art. Established in 1744, Sotheby's is the world's largest, and most dynamic marketplace for art and luxury. Why do I need a gallery?
How do galleries work? How do I find a gallery that's a good fit for me? What things should I avoid? How do I approach a gallery? How do I price my artwork? How do I negotiate a contract? Earlier this month, the Still Life Oil Painting Network hosted Anthony Waichulis and Natalie Featherston for an Artists Chat on working with galleries as a professional artist. It was very informative and a privilege to participate. Rachel took some great notes and posted them on Smartermarx. Check it out HERE! I'm very proud of the ÀNI Dominicana apprentices who participated in today's Río San Juan beach clean-up volunteer event at playa caletón. Thank you for representing the academy so well in our community!
Thrilled to see my work in print in the Winter 2023 issue of The Best of Drawing magazine! Thank you to Artists Magazine and American Artist for this exciting opportunity.
Last week, the ÀNI Dominicana apprentices enjoyed a field trip to our capital city, Santo Domingo, to visit the Arte San Ramón Gallery where our work will be exhibited next fall! We had a wonderful time. Thank you to Arte San Ramón for hosting our group. It was a real privilege!
A special shout-out to Francisco Collado whose work we spotted. It was a favorite among the apprentices! |
